Awesome! Thank you so much for your service and your commitment during the Vietnam War and beyond! The women who served in Vietnam have a memorial in Washington D.C. thanks to you. I am a Vietnam Veteran, blue water Navy. I don't hold a candle to those that served on land.

I’m a female Army veteran and 29 year active member of the American Legion. My son attended Boys State and daughter attended Girls State sponsored by the Auxiliary. My beef with the American Legion is that the Girls State should be an American Legion program. In addition, the Sons of the American Legion should be coed. The Auxiliary is a fine organization, but the American Legion should be 100% inclusive for females.

While I agree that the 10 mil seems like a lot for those outside health orgs. The issue of the homeless veterans has many programs within the VA alone. Some of my fellow vets arent aware of them or some refuse out of pride. Yes the VA does need a lot of work and we need politicians to stop blocking bills that help the VA. But to say the funds could go to homeless programs when there is already there and not address that is a lil short sighted.

I was lucky to overall have leaders (military) who were very good. They were out there with the troops. They led by both example and respectful expectation.

Thank you so much for your service. Coming from one who was just a couple years too young to do the same. Yet one who saw the results of that war. One who volunteered countless hours at my local VA hospital, pushing wheelchairs, talking to, and helping Vietnam veterans the best way that I could... Thank you, my brother... Thank you. And for you nurses, god has reserved a very special place for all of you angels of mercy. Much love to you all.

My children grew up with a Golden Retriever who was obedience trained. She was such a wonderful member of the family. Not to mention all the neighbors and children. She was so sweet, but obedient. When I was being treated for cancer, she would snuggle up to me, looking me in the eyes like she knew I was not well.
